Chapter 8264
To track tab placement with a vertical line in the text block:
1 Display text preferences by doing one of the following:
• In Windows, press Control+U, then click the Text tab.
• On the Macintosh, press Command+U, then click the Text category.
2 Select Track Tab Movement with Vertical Line (the default setting) to display a vertical
highlight line in the text block as you move a tab on the text ruler. Deselect the option to hide
the tracking line.
3 Click OK.
Setting paragraph indents, paragraph spacing, margins, and insets
You can set paragraph indents and margins using the text ruler or the Object panel. You can also
apply hanging indents, and hanging punctuation marks, such as quotation marks, outside
paragraph margins.
